Full job description

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our East Hyde STW Project team based in East Hyde, Bedfordshire.

Location: East Hyde, Luton
Hours: 45 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead the commercial delivery of key work packages across the East Hyde STW Growth Project. This is an exciting opportunity to influence commercial strategy as the project progresses through detailed design, ensuring robust commercial controls are implemented throughout. You'll provide leadership to the commercial team while maintaining ownership of project delivery within a complex, multi-disciplinary environment.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering successful project outcomes through proactive cost, risk and contract management. Your day to day will include:

Leading procurement activities including tender evaluation, recommendation and subcontract award
Administering subcontract accounts, valuations, change events and final accounts
Providing leadership, support and mentoring to Quantity Surveyors within the project team
Managing project change, risk and opportunity while ensuring contractual compliance
Contributing to commercial reporting including CVR, forecasting and cashflow management

You hold a relevant academic qualification in a construction related degree
You hold a Full driving licence
You have prior experience working in a commercial role for a contractor
You have experience with a variety of contract forms
You have the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
