Job Summary

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Kitchen Hand, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation and service. Your enthusiasm and dedication will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational skills in food handling, kitchen operations, and hospitality service.

Responsibilities

Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers, including peeling, chopping, and assembling ingredients.
Support the kitchen team during busy service times by maintaining a steady flow of clean dishware and assisting with light food prep as needed.
Ensure all work areas comply with health and safety regulations by following proper sanitation procedures.
Manage waste disposal and recycling processes to maintain a tidy workspace.
Help with restocking supplies and organizing storage areas to optimize kitchen efficiency.
Support the overall cleanliness of the kitchen environment to uphold hygiene standards essential for food safety.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking processes.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment, cleaning protocols, and sanitation standards.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks efficiently.
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations.
Prior experience in hotel or culinary environments is a plus but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
