About The Role

We have a brilliant opportunity for an organised, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Pre-Application Equity Release Underwriting Assistant.

Within the role, you’ll manage your workload effectively to meet targets, respond in a timely manner to adviser queries received via phone and webchat, and continuously maintain current knowledge of equity release criteria in a rapidly changing market, allowing you to make timely and accurate decisions.

This is a permanent role, based at our Hitchin office, offered on a hybrid working model in line with business requirements.

Key Accountabilities

Within this role, you will…

Monitor team and individual mailboxes, ensuring emails are reviewed and responded to promptly.
Respond to adviser queries via webchat, providing accurate and up-to-date information.
Maintain current knowledge of equity release criteria and developments within a rapidly changing market.
Handle adviser calls professionally, providing clear and accurate information.
Make prompt and accurate decisions on whether a case meets the relevant acceptance criteria, providing clear justification for each outcome.
Review documents and data efficiently, identifying key information while maintaining close attention to detail.
Maintain high standards of confidentiality, attention to detail and data accuracy.
Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues, stakeholders and teams across the organisation.
Provide support to colleagues where required.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have…

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
The ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, changing environment and meet tight deadlines.
Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to plan, manage and prioritise your workload in response to customer needs.
The ability to manage complex cases independently while supporting the team to achieve key targets.
A proactive approach to anticipating and responding to the evolving needs of the business and industry.
The confidence to make sound, pragmatic decisions on individual cases in line with regulatory requirements and LV= values.
Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
