Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team, this a part time role looking for around 15-20 hours a week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a keen understanding of food safety standards. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences while supervising kitchen staff and managing daily operations. Your culinary expertise will be essential in maintaining high standards of quality and presentation in our dishes.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Monitor food production processes to maintain quality control and consistency.
Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings.

Skills

Proven experience in food production within a professional kitchen environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
A background in hospitality, demonstrating an understanding of customer service excellence.
Proficient in various food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
