Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Food Truck Crew Members to join our Smash Burger team. This role involves working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment, preparing and serving delicious burgers and related menu items. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant mobile food operation, delivering quality meals to our customers while gaining valuable experience in the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Prepare food items according to company recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation are maintained.
Serve customers promptly with a friendly and professional attitude, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the food truck, including sanitising work surfaces and equipment regularly.
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate POS systems effectively.
Assist with stock management, including restocking supplies during shifts.
Uphold food safety standards at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure swift service delivery.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients are required.
Experience in kitchen operations or culinary roles is beneficial.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and stand for extended periods throughout shifts.
