Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. This position offers an opportunity to work within a professional environment committed to patient safety and health outcomes. Prior pharmacy technician experience and knowledge of medication administration are highly desirable. The role requires a proactive approach to patient care and adherence to all safety protocols.

Duties

Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with healthcare regulations and pharmacy procedures
Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, packaging, and labelling
Provide guidance to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and inventory levels
Support the administration of medications under supervision, ensuring compliance with protocols
Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication management
Manage stock levels, reorder supplies as necessary, and verify incoming deliveries for accuracy

Qualifications

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy practice are advantageous
A compassionate attitude towards patients and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
