About the role

Job Title: Catering Assistant

School Location: Brymore College, Bridgwater, TA5 2NB

Working Days: Two Week alternating Shift Pattern:

Week 1: Monday to Friday

Week 2: Monday to Saturday with Friday off

Shifts & Working hours: 8am-7pm, (32 hours per week)

Shift times vary between these hours.

Working Weeks: 36 weeks per year

Pay Details: £16,268 per Annum

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Catering Assistant, you’ll support our high-standard catering teams, helping deliver fresh, beautifully presented meals to students in our independent schools.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing and serving meals and snacks to a high standard
Assisting with plating, presentation, and counter service
Supporting the kitchen team with food prep
Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen and dining area
Providing friendly and professional service to all students and staff

What we’re looking for:

Experience in catering or hospitality (School catering is prefereable but not essential)
A passion for food and high standards
Teamwork skills and reliability
Flexible approach to working hours to support school schedules
