Job Summary

Duties

Perform routine inspections and diagnostics on vehicles and machinery to identify issues promptly.
Conduct repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other key components.
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used for each vehicle or piece of equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical problems efficiently using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications to promote a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members to prioritize repair tasks and minimize downtime.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools and parts for quick turnaround.

Experience

experience as a mechanic working with various types of vehicles or industrial equipment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports accurately.
Certification from recognized automotive or mechanical trade schools is preferred.
Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as OBD scanners or other industry-standard equipment is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Immediate Start – Experienced Mechanic Needed

We are looking for a skilled, reliable mechanic to join our team immediately.

Must be confident working on all makes and models, carrying out repairs, servicing and diagnostics
Preferred full-time, but we will consider the right applicant for flexible hours
Weekend work is optional
Competitive pay – weekly or monthly options available, discussed fully at interview
