Full job description

Full Time, Permanent

Location: Bristol Cycling Centre, Hengrove and relocation to Bristol Regional Cycling Hub, Lawrence Weston/Shirehampton in 2029.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to play a key role as a Senior Cycling Centre Operations Officer. Assisting with the running of the current Bristol Cycling Centre and contributing to the development of the operational management, oversight and activities as the service transitions to a new purpose built Bristol Regional Cycling Hub (BRCH) planned to be open in early 2029.

You will work with a small dynamic and highly collaborative team of part time Cycling Centre Operations Officers, overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Bristol Cycling Centre as well as collaborating with managers, planning operational service delivery, customer focus, and activity for the BRCH.

As the full-time member of staff, you will provide coordination across team functions. Ensuring workloads, resources, systems, and processes are effectively managed to support the smooth running of the service, providing high quality customer services.

You will also support health and safety compliance, ensuring the buildings and grounds are safe and well maintained.

You will coordinate Operational team systems and processes, including administration, finance, customer experience, booking system, communications, marketing and health and safety activity.

Collaborating closely with managers and the rest of the small team, you will help maintain consistent processes, high-quality data, effective reporting, and accessible service information. Maintaining relationships with schools, community groups, and families to ensure a full timetable of cycling sessions for all ages and abilities as well as the recruitment of volunteers and work experience placements.

We're looking for someone who:

Has strong organisational and operational management skills.
Has experience of service delivery functions.
Is confident using systems, data, and reporting tools.
Builds positive relationships across teams and partner organisations.
Has strong customer focus skills
Can provide guidance, training, and support to others.
Takes a proactive, solution-focused approach and manages competing priorities effectively.
Has strong attention to detail and can ensure processes are delivered consistently.
