Full job description

Summary

Touch Building Services is a leading M&E construction specialist delivering high‑quality mechanical and electrical installations across commercial, industrial, and residential projects. With a strong reputation for technical excellence, safety, and reliability, we are expanding and looking to add a commercial/industrial Plumber/Pipefitter to our mechanical team working on projects across the south coast to support continued growth.

Key Activities include:

Install, maintain, and repair plumbing and pipework systems, including hot and cold water services, heating systems, drainage, and associated fixtures.
Measure, cut, bend and assemble pipes using appropriate tools and techniques
Install valves, supports, brackets and insulation in line with manufacturer guidance and industry standards.
Conduct system testing, including pressure testing, leak detection and functional checks, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
Work collaboratively with mechanical and electrical colleagues to deliver integrated solutions
Identify and report any issues, risks, or defects promptly
Maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements:

Recognised plumbing or pipefitting qualification, e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent.
Demonstrable experience in commercial, industrial or residential plumbing/pipefitting installations.
Valid CSCS card
Strong understanding of health & safety requirements
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Full UK driving licence
