Cost Accountant

Evesham, Worcestershire | Manufacturing Environment | Finance

IDEX Material Processing Technologies is looking for a commercially focused Cost Accountant to join our Finance team at our Evesham headquarters.

Working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Project Management, and senior leadership, you'll act as a trusted finance business partner, providing insight and challenge to improve profitability, inventory management, cost control, and business performance.

What You'll Do

Lead inventory management, stock takes, and annual cost rolls
Own standard costing, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold accuracy
Analyse margins, variances, labour efficiency, and operational costs
Support budgeting, forecasting, and project cost reviews
Drive continuous improvement in reporting, controls, and cost transparency
Partner with operational teams to deliver data-driven recommendations

What We're Looking For

Proven cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or project-based environment
Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (JDE preferred)
Excellent communication and business partnering abilities
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for driving change
