Full job description

Retail Security Officer – Fast-Paced Environment

We are looking for a professional, reliable, and proactive Retail Security Officer to join our team. This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same, requiring excellent observational skills, confidence in dealing with the public, and the ability to respond quickly to incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing a visible security presence to deter theft and anti-social behaviour.
Monitoring customers and staff to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Conducting regular patrols of the store and surrounding areas.
Responding promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarm activations.
Preventing stock loss through effective loss prevention procedures.
Liaising professionally with store management, staff, customers, and emergency services where required.
Completing accurate incident reports and maintaining security records.

Requirements:

Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
Previous retail security experience is preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
Flexible approach to working shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
Smart, professional appearance and a strong work ethic.
