Overview

Join our vibrant team as a Dance Teacher and ignite the passion for movement and expression in students of all ages and skill levels! In this dynamic role, you'll inspire creativity, foster confidence, and cultivate a love for dance through engaging instruction and personalized coaching. Whether guiding beginners or honing advanced performers, your energy and expertise will make a lasting impact in our lively dance community. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your artistry while helping students achieve their dance goals.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver engaging dance lessons across various styles suited to different age groups and skill levels
Create a positive, motivating environment that encourages students to explore their movement potential
Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support growth
Prepare students for performances, competitions, or recitals by developing practice routines and choreography
Maintain a safe dance environment by ensuring proper use of equipment and adherence to safety guidelines
Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to organize events, workshops, or community outreach programs
Keep accurate attendance records, lesson plans, and progress reports for each student

Qualifications

Proven experience teaching dance in a classroom or studio setting with a strong portfolio of choreography or performance work
Deep knowledge of multiple dance styles such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, or tap
Excellent communication skills to motivate and connect with students of diverse backgrounds
Ability to demonstrate technical skills clearly while fostering a fun and inclusive atmosphere
Flexibility to adapt lessons based on student needs and skill levels
Certification in dance instruction or related fields is preferred but not required; relevant experience is essential
Passion for dance education and a commitment to inspiring others through movement
Ideally ISTD / RAD qualified
