Job Purpose
As a Care Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care services. Working as part of a small team of two Coordinators, you will oversee day-to-day care operations, support staff, and help maintain the highest standards of care.
You will be instrumental in creating a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for both residents and staff, while developing your leadership skills for future career progression.
Key Responsibilities

Take the lead on medication management, ensuring safe administration, compliance, and best practice at all times

Carry out regular audits to monitor care quality, compliance, and continuous improvement

Assess and sign off staff competencies, supporting training and ensuring high standards of care delivery

Supervise and support a team of Care Assistants to deliver outstanding care

Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing person-centred care plans

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to care staff

Respond effectively to emergencies and incidents

Maintain accurate and compliant care records

Work collaboratively with colleagues, management, and external professionals

Promote dignity, independence, and choice for all residents

Lead by example and support the onboarding and development of new staff
Key Requirements
-
Proven experience in a care role, preferably in a supervisory or leadership capacity within a care home environment.

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

Medication administration experience.

A good understanding of care planning, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and support a team.

A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care, with a focus on enhancing residents' well-being.

Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure.

A willingness to participate in continuous professional development (CPD) and training.
Desirable

Previous experience in a Senior Care Supervisor role.
