About Snowden & Co

Snowden & Co is a long-established seafood wholesaler supplying high-quality fresh and frozen seafood to restaurants, wholesalers and foodservice customers throughout the UK.

We are looking for an organised, reliable and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to join our office team. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to become an integral part of a growing business while helping us modernise and improve our administrative processes.

The Role

Working closely with the management team, your responsibilities will include:

Please note normal working hours are 6am to 3pm Monday to Friday

Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
Matching invoices to deliveries and purchase documentation.
Assisting with stock administration, stock reconciliations and inventory records.
Maintaining accurate paper and electronic records.
Providing excellent customer service both over the telephone and face-to-face.
Answering customer and supplier enquiries professionally.
Assisting with customer order administration where required.
Preparing documents, spreadsheets and reports.
Filing, scanning and general office administration.
Supporting the wider team with day-to-day administrative tasks.

As the business continues to develop, you will also play an important role in helping us transition from traditional manual systems to modern computer-based processes, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys improving the way things are done.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Friendly, approachable and professional.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Comfortable communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
Able to prioritise workloads and work independently.
Accurate when handling invoices, paperwork and stock records.
Keen to learn new systems and embrace new technology.
A team player with a positive, can-do attitude.

Previous experience in administration is essential. Experience with invoice processing, stock control or customer service would be highly desirable.

Experience of accounting or stock management software is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided.
