Salary: £41,778 per annum plus Essential Car Users Allowance

About the role
As our Safety, Quality & Compliance Team Leader, you will help ensure that we meet our statutory and regulatory responsibilities, maintain robust assurance arrangements and deliver safe, reliable and customer-focused services for our residents and communities.

What you’ll be doing
This is a varied and influential role where you will combine technical expertise, strong relationship-building and practical leadership. You will:
· Provide assurance to senior leaders and the Board that health, safety and compliance requirements are being met.
· Develop, monitor and improve safety policies, procedures, audits, inspections and risk assessments.
· Lead on compliance records, certifications, reporting and evidence for regulatory and assurance purposes.
· Work with contractors, internal teams, auditors and regulators to maintain safe, high-quality services.
· Support quality management, performance reviews, corrective actions and continuous improvement activity.
· Champion a positive safety culture, sharing knowledge and promoting best practice across the organisation.
About you
We’re looking for someone who understands the importance of safe homes, strong compliance and excellent service delivery. You’ll be confident working with legislation, standards, policies and performance data, and you’ll be able to translate technical requirements into practical action.
· Experience in health and safety, compliance, quality assurance or a related regulated environment.
· Knowledge of key landlord compliance areas such as fire safety, asbestos, gas, electrical safety, legionella and lifting equipment.
· The ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, contractors, residents, auditors and regulators.
· Strong communication, reporting and problem-solving skills.
· A proactive, improvement-focused approach and a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
