Our teams focus on making a real difference through culture and sport in Glasgow. If you’re excited by the idea of being part of that, this could be the job for you.

What you need to know

Hours: 35 per week, Monday – Friday 9-5pm.

Contract type: Fixed Term until 31st March 2029

Location: Glasgow International Arena with excellent public transport links/free parking.

What you’ll do

As a Health and Wellbeing Assistant (Physical Activity), you’ll be a part of a Live Well Community Referral team, reporting to the Health and Wellbeing Officer. You’ll play an essential role in encouraging people to live a healthier Glasgow life by supporting people to take part in a variety of cultural and sporting activities on their doorstep, promoting inclusion and wellbeing throughout the city.

Your work will make a visible and lasting difference. This could be:

Supporting our communities and connecting people to opportunities that help them be active or have access to cultural and creative experiences.
Supporting families referred to Glasgow Life to connect to cultural and sporting activities.
Supporting the implementation of a Single Point of Referral for Physical Activity by triaging both clinical and social referrals to the right support and activities.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone with the right skills who brings energy to the role. If the following sounds like you, apply today!

We’re looking for:

Ability to show empathy, listen effectively and build rapport to support people from a wide range of backgrounds to participate in community activity.
Experience of working with people, preferably within a physical activity setting, that have long-term health conditions, health requirements or social challenges.
Experience of general administration, and up-to-date IT skills including the proficient use of Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
Experience of using database software and an ability to accurately record and maintain sensitive participant information
