Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to clients in their home settings. The successful candidate will assist with daily activities, promote well-being, and ensure the comfort and safety of those in their care.

Shifts available:

Thursdays and Fridays - double shifts (07:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 22:00;

Additional shifts available on other days.

Responsibilities

Support clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with individual care plans
Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
Monitor and record vital signs and health observations accurately
Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients
Follow all health and safety guidelines, including infection control procedures
Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and team members to ensure coordinated care
Utilise IT systems to update care records and document relevant information accurately
Drive or accompany clients for appointments or outings when necessary

Skills

Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Strong organisational abilities to follow care plans meticulously
Good IT literacy for documentation purposes
Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism in all interactions
Driving skills are desirable for supporting home care visits or outings
Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential
Knowledge of health and social care practices, including understanding of care plans and confidentiality requirements

This role is ideal for caring individuals eager to contribute positively to the lives of others while working within a supportive team environment. Applicants should be organised, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of care at all times.

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
