Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to clients in their home settings. The successful candidate will assist with daily activities, promote well-being, and ensure the comfort and safety of those in their care.
Shifts available:
Thursdays and Fridays - double shifts (07:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 22:00;
Additional shifts available on other days.
Responsibilities
- Support clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with individual care plans
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Monitor and record vital signs and health observations accurately
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including infection control procedures
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and team members to ensure coordinated care
- Utilise IT systems to update care records and document relevant information accurately
- Drive or accompany clients for appointments or outings when necessary
Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong organisational abilities to follow care plans meticulously
- Good IT literacy for documentation purposes
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism in all interactions
- Driving skills are desirable for supporting home care visits or outings
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of health and social care practices, including understanding of care plans and confidentiality requirements

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
