Job Description:

HGV Technician

Are you a Level 3 qualified technician looking for a new opportunity? Do you have previous experience of working in a workshop environment?

Here at Norfolk Trucks, we are looking for an experienced technician to join our Norwich depot on a full-time permanent basis working on a split-shift pattern, working on a diverse range of modern vehicles.

The ideal candidate will ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner.

Hours: Earlies/Lates 06:00 – 14:00 / 16:00 – 00:00 alternative Saturdays 06:00 -12:00 at overtime rate

Location: Norwich, NR7

Pay: Up to £20 an hour plus Shift Allowance

Key Responsibilities:

Servicing, repair and maintenance on HGVs and LCVs.
Adhere and comply to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner.
Assist in the fault diagnosis process. Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and with warranty material on completion of a repair.
Ensure that the company time recording procedures are complied with and that job cards are completed accurately.
Follow instructions from the job card / repair order to Manufacturer standards
Ensure that the workshop facilities, equipment, and tools are kept clean, tidy and maintained.

You will need:

Qualified to City & Guilds Level or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
Hold a full UK driving licence
Technically competent in the repair and maintenance of HGVs
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels
To develop or work in developing new or enhancing existing processes
Flexible and quick to adapt, committed to continuous learning and professional development through training initiatives

Desirable:

Hold a Class 1 or Class 2 licence
Main dealer experience advantageous
