Full job description

We are looking for an organised and proactive Construction Project Coordinator to provide office-based coordination across a number of live construction projects in London.

This is not a senior Project Manager position. The role is to support the Director, Project Managers, Site Managers and QS team by ensuring information is organised, actions are followed up and communication between the office, sites, subcontractors and suppliers runs efficiently.

Main Responsibilities

Coordinate information across all live construction projects.
Maintain a central project tracker showing progress, outstanding actions and key deadlines.
Speak with Site Managers regularly and obtain progress updates.
Chase outstanding actions from subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
Maintain action lists following project/site meetings.
Coordinate drawings, specifications and revised information and make sure the correct information reaches the relevant site.
Maintain RFI and information-request trackers.
Assist with obtaining quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
Follow up quotations and provide comparisons/information to the relevant Project Manager or Director.
Coordinate material orders and deliveries where instructed.
Monitor important delivery dates and notify the project team of potential delays.
Maintain subcontractor and supplier contact information.
Assist with subcontractor paperwork, insurance, RAMS and other required documentation.
Maintain project folders and ensure documents are filed correctly.
Assist with programmes, progress reports and weekly project updates.
Keep records of variations and additional works for review by the QS/Project Manager.
Coordinate appointments and meetings between sites, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
Escalate delays, missing information or problems to the Director/Project Manager.
Provide general project administration and coordination as required.

What This Role Will Not Be Responsible For

The Project Coordinator will not be expected to:

Act as the Project Manager for the projects.
Make structural or technical design decisions.
Take responsibility for site health and safety management.
Certify subcontractor payments or valuations.
Agree major variations or commercial terms without approval.
Take overall responsibility for construction delivery.

These responsibilities remain with the Director, Project Manager, Site Manager, QS and relevant consultants.

Candidate Requirements

Approximately 0–2 years' experience in construction, property, project administration or project coordination.
Construction experience preferred but not essential for an otherwise strong candidate.
Construction/property graduates will also be considered.
Very organised and able to manage several projects simultaneously.
Confident communicating with Site Managers, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
Good written and spoken English.
Good Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills.
Able to maintain trackers and follow outstanding matters through to completion.
Comfortable chasing people and obtaining updates.
Good attention to detail.
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Ideal Candidate

This role would suit a Junior Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, Construction Administrator, Assistant Project Coordinator or construction/property graduate looking to develop into a Project Management role.

There will be an opportunity to gain experience across multiple residential and commercial construction projects and progress within the company.

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
