J M Gardens is a Garden Maintenance company operating in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Middlesex. We are looking for a permanent, skilled and experienced Gardener to join our team. They will be working in mainly private gardens in a team of two/three and ensuring all gardens are kept to a very high standard.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, a keen eye for detail and have strong leadership abilities to work within a team effectively. This exciting role requires a team player who show’s initiative and can also work independently. They will need to be self-motivated with good horticultural knowledge and be passionate about gardening with a desire to develop.

Role:

Work as part of a team to plant and maintain private gardens and commercial sites across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Middlesex.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively and manage a busy and flexible schedule.
Deliver great customer service, able to build client relationships and respond calmly and politely to any queries.
Highlight and communicate any problems or developments to the Business Owner.
Ensure all tools, materials and plants are taken to site when required.
Ensure that the van is kept clean and tidy with a full set of tools.
Carry out general garden maintenance – including mowing, planting annuals and bulbs, pruning at the correct time, lawn care and overall garden development.
Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.

You will need:

Excellent horticultural knowledge with proven experience in the industry to include pruning, pest & disease control, planting, lawn care, using a wide variety of horticultural machinery.
A desire and passion to continually learn and develop.
A drive to deliver, create and nurture high standard gardens.
Knowledge of seasonal variations.
Good organisation and time management.
Organised and punctual.
Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively and appropriately with clients, team members and management.
Right to live and work in the UK.
Full clean UK driving licence, with experience of driving vans.
Recognised horticultural qualification, or a high level of horticultural experience/knowledge.

Pay: £120 per day (Experience dependent)
