Full job description

Overview
We are looking for front of house team leader for a busy independent public house. Your main role will be bar and restaurant, delivering a high standard to our customers. You must have a friendly yet professional personality. You will be a strong team player with a desire to provide excellent customer service. You will be involved in all aspects of the food and beverage department, serving customers in the restaurant, bar and events and clearing down/setting up areas.

Over the age of 18 years old with previous bar and restaurant experience

The Person:

Ability to work on your own or in teams

Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
Take accurate food and drink orders using POS systems
Serve meals and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
Provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests, upselling where appropriate
Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including tables, counters, and side stations
Follow food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
Handle guest queries professionally and resolve issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
Cash up and lock up 2-3 times a week.
Shifts work and 1 weekend day.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is essential; a friendly attitude and willingness to learn are vital
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
Good communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse guests effectively
Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
A genuine passion for guest services and creating positive dining experiences
