Full job description

We are currently seeking an Extrusion operator to work within our Screw Extrusion department.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate, set and run extrusion lines.
High standard of tool cleaning and rebuilding.
Lead the extrusion line setting and operations.
Monitor the process and adjust where necessary
Communicate with Team Leader should any problems arise during production
Monitoring the quality of the process via product testing equipment
Transfer polymer to storage racks and load hoppers with polymer
Start up and shutdown the extruder lines
Undertake minor running repairs, whilst referring any major breakdown to the engineering department
Undertake additional duties as requested by the Team Leader.

Package – Starting salary £26,624 (Plus shift allowance/Depending on which shift assigned to)

Holiday entitlement - 20 days plus bank holidays

Hours of working:

Days: 06:00 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday

Lates: 12:00 to 22:30 Monday to Thursday

Nights: 20:30 to 07:00 Monday – Thursday

Shift allowance paid between 18:00 –23:00 wage x 1.25 & between 23:00 – 06:00 wage x 1.5

Overtime – when available - Saturday x 1.5 - Sunday x2

Required Capabilities:

2 years’ experience Machine setter background (Preferred)
Experience working in a technical production environment.
Well-organised, with attention to detail.
The ability to work well with your hands and to perform the physical aspects of the role.
Knowledge of extrusion, injection moulding, profile extrusion (Preferred)
Able to work under own initiative
Able to work as part of a team.

Pay: From £26,624.00 per year
