Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional kitchen environment. The successful candidate will be involved in food preparation, cooking, and delivering high-quality dishes. Prior experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous, but a strong enthusiasm for culinary arts and a willingness to learn are essential. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in food safety, kitchen operations, and team management.

Duties

Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes according to established recipes and standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
Participate in food production processes during busy service periods
Contribute to the organisation of the kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow
Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols at all times
Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
Serve food to customers or assist in serving areas as needed during service

Skills

Proven experience or background in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality environments
Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Leadership qualities with previous supervising experience or team management skills
