Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, assisting with food and beverage preparation, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within a dynamic environment dedicated to customer satisfaction.

Duties

Prepare and serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests in line with company standards
Assist with food preparation and presentation as required, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Set up dining areas, including table arrangements and condiments, prior to service
Take orders accurately and handle transactions using the POS system
Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to at all times
Replenish supplies and stock areas as needed throughout shifts
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including clearing tables and cleaning utensils
Support catering functions and special events as required
Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with guests and addressing any enquiries or concerns

Skills

Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality environments is desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Barista experience or familiarity with coffee preparation is a plus
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
Basic food preparation skills and understanding of restaurant operations are beneficial
A professional attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service
