Full job description

Customer Service & Transport Co-ordinator

Location: Exorna, Coleraine
Employment: Full-time, permanent

Exorna is seeking an organised and dependable Customer Service & Transport Co-ordinator to manage customer orders and co-ordinate our delivery schedule.

This is a varied role connecting our customers, manufacturing operations, despatch teams and drivers.

Key responsibilities

Plan and schedule customer deliveries in line with manufacturing lead times and customer requirements.
Co-ordinate a fleet of five delivery vehicles, ranging from 3.5-tonne panel vans to a 44-tonne articulated lorry.
Schedule loads and routes to maximise vehicle capacity and delivery efficiency.
Work directly with the manufacturing and despatch teams to ensure orders are ready for loading.
Communicate daily schedules and delivery information to drivers.
Monitor deliveries and respond quickly to delays, changes or customer queries.
Contact customers by telephone and email to arrange and confirm deliveries.
Receive customer orders and accurately enter them into our computerised ordering system.
Maintain accurate customer, order and delivery records.
Provide customers with updates on order progress and expected delivery dates.
Help resolve order, delivery and customer service issues professionally.

The ideal candidate

Highly organised and able to manage several priorities at once.
Confident communicating with customers, drivers and internal teams.
Comfortable working in a busy manufacturing and logistics environment.
Strong telephone and email communication skills.
Good general computer skills with accurate data-entry ability.
Able to make practical decisions and respond calmly when schedules change.
Previous experience in transport planning, logistics, customer service or order processing would be beneficial.
Knowledge of vehicle capacities, delivery routing and drivers’ hours would be advantageous.
