Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be attentive to detail, and demonstrate a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within the health care sector while working in a supportive environment.

Duties

Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each person's needs
Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
Help with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their families
Support with medication administration under supervision (if qualified)
Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the care environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Assist with transportation for appointments or outings using company vehicles if required

Experience

Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication with colleagues and service users
Driving licence is advantageous for roles involving home visits or transportation duties
Strong communication skills, empathy, and a caring attitude are essential for success in this role

Pay: £14.00 per hour
