Full job description

HGV Class 1 Driver - Walking Floor Trailer

You will be responsible for the safe and timely operation of one of our HGV's pulling a walking floor trailer. Delivering a variety of biomass woodchip, forest residue, mixed recycling and waste produce. This is currently a role which requires nights out Monday - Thursday and home on a Friday, though this can be subject to change and day work may be available.

General duties include but not limited to:

Performing routine vehicle inspections, reporting any issues promptly.
Adhere to all traffic laws and working regulations.
Drive in a safe and courteous manner.
Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
Ensure all necessary paperwork is received and completed accurately. Such as weight tickets and delivery notes.
Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
Maintaining your wagon to a clean and presentable standard.

Requirements:

Valid, up to date Licence, CPC & Digi cards.
No more than 6 points, with no major violations or accidents.
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and a can-do attitude.
Previous Class 1 experience would be preferable.
Previous experience of walking floor preferable but not essential as training can be provided.
At present this is a role requiring Nights out Monday through Thursday, being home on a Friday. However this can be subject to change. Can be discussed further.
