Due to continued expansion of our fleet, we are seeking an additional HGV Mechanic / Fitter required for our workshop in Coventry.
We run a modern, mixed, fleet or Volvo, Scania and DAF trucks, with curtain, box and Schmitz fridge trailers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Routine maintenance and safety inspection of HGV trucks and trailers
-Vehicle MOT Prep
-Maintenance of other company non-HGV vehicles, including Company cars and LGV van
-Stock management, and part ordering
-Completion of job cards in a timely and thorough manner
-At times, using the company vehicle to attend trucks/trailers away from site
-Maintenance and inspection of trailers.
-Post-accident/incident assessments
-Defect repairs
-Tyre changing and regrooving
Experience
-Experience working with HGVs is a must, and the ideal candidate will have at least two years experience
-Experience with Asset Manager, or CNG/Natural Gas trucks, would be an advantage
Requirements
Must have a right to work in the UK.
Shift
Monday - Friday 1230 - 2130
Some Saturday AM shifts as overtime available
