We specialise in the sale of Mercedes-Benz vans and the servicing, maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles, including our electric vehicle range (EVs). We're currently looking for an experienced and customer-focused Senior Service Advisor to join our busy Aftersales team in Crawley.

About the Role

As the Senior Service Advisor, you'll lead the front-of-house Service Advisor team while continuing to deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the service and repair journey. Acting as the first point of contact for customers, you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of the Service Reception, support and motivate the Service Advisors, and work closely with the Site Manager, Workshop Controllers, Technicians and Parts Department to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the workshop.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Advisor looking to take the next step into a leadership role within a professional Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle dealership.

Salary: Up to £37,624 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

Bonus: Performance-related bonus of up to £1,720 per annum

Hours: 46.5 hours per week

Working Pattern:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)
1 in 4 Saturdays, 7:00am - 1:00pm

Key Responsibilities

Lead, support and motivate the team of Service Advisors, including holding daily team meetings.
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Service Reception, ensuring high standards of customer service and professionalism.
Welcome customers professionally both in person and over the telephone.
Book vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair work into the workshop.
Accurately prepare and manage repair orders using the dealership management system.
Carry out vehicle check-in procedures, including recording vehicle condition and customer requirements.
Keep customers informed throughout the repair process and provide regular updates.
Obtain customer authorisation for any additional work required.
Liaise with Workshop Controllers, Technicians and the Parts Department to ensure repairs progress efficiently.
Work alongside the Site Manager to monitor and manage Work in Progress (WIP), cash debt and account debt.
Arrange vehicle collections, deliveries and customer handovers.
Explain completed work and recommend future maintenance requirements where appropriate.
Ensure all workshop documentation is accurate and complete to support efficient invoicing.
Review vehicle service history and identify opportunities for preventative maintenance and upselling.
Maintain accurate technician job card write-ups to support correct billing.
Support the administration of the 24-hour breakdown service.
Deliver exceptional customer service at every stage of the customer journey while acting as a role model for the wider Service team.

About You

To be successful in this role you'll have:

Essential

Previous experience as a Service Advisor within a commercial vehicle or motor dealership.
Experience leading, coaching or supporting a team.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Good IT and administration skills.
The ability to prioritise work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
A proactive, professional and team-focused attitude.
Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

Kerridge / Keyloop experience.
Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle experience.
Knowledge of warranty processes and dealership systems.
Experience managing workshop performance, WIP and departmental workflow.
