About Dash Travel

Dash Travel is a new, customer-focused travel agency built around providing a personal, modern and stress-free way to book travel.

We want to move away from the traditional one-size-fits-all travel agency experience. Our aim is to get to know our clients, understand exactly what they are looking for and create trips that genuinely suit them — whether that is a short city break, family holiday, luxury escape, long-haul adventure or something completely bespoke.

As we prepare to open our first Dash Travel store, we are looking for an enthusiastic Travel Consultant to join us and become an important part of the business from the beginning.

The Role

As a Travel Consultant, you will work directly with customers to understand their travel requirements, research suitable options and turn enquiries into confirmed bookings.

This is a customer-facing and sales-focused position, so we are looking for someone who is confident speaking with people, enjoys building relationships and is motivated by achieving results.

You'll be responsible for looking after customers throughout their journey with Dash Travel — from their first enquiry through to booking and ongoing support.

A company laptop will be provided for use during working hours to carry out bookings, research, customer communication and other day-to-day duties.

Key Responsibilities

Provide friendly, knowledgeable and professional service to every Dash Travel customer.
Speak with customers in-store, over the phone, by email and through online enquiries.
Understand customers' budgets, preferences and travel requirements.
Research and recommend suitable destinations, hotels, flights, packages and other travel options.
Create personalised holiday quotations and itineraries.
Convert customer enquiries into confirmed bookings.
Process bookings accurately using the relevant travel and booking systems.
Explain travel options, booking conditions and additional products clearly to customers.
Recommend appropriate extras such as transfers, luggage, upgrades, excursions and other additions.
Build strong relationships with customers and encourage repeat bookings.
Follow up outstanding quotations and enquiries.
Maintain accurate customer and booking records.
Take and process customer payments correctly.
Assist customers with amendments, cancellations and other booking queries.
Keep up to date with destinations, hotels, resorts, suppliers and travel products.
Work towards individual and company sales targets.
Contribute towards the growth and development of Dash Travel as the business expands.
Maintain a professional and welcoming environment within the Dash Travel store.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

Confident, outgoing and comfortable speaking with customers.
Naturally friendly and able to build relationships quickly.
Passionate about travel and interested in learning about destinations.
Sales-driven without being overly pushy.
Motivated by targets and commission.
Organised and able to manage multiple customer enquiries at once.
Comfortable using computers and learning new booking systems.
Accurate and attentive when dealing with bookings, payments and customer information.
Reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a small team.
Willing to take responsibility and contribute ideas as Dash Travel develops.
Previous travel agency or travel industry experience would be advantageous, but we are also interested in applicants with strong customer service and sales experience who are enthusiastic about building a career in travel.

Hours

This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week.

We are able to offer a degree of flexibility around the working pattern, although applicants should be willing to work around the needs of the store and our customers.

Pay & Commission

Base Pay: £13.75 per hour

In addition to the base hourly rate, the successful candidate will receive commission based on sales, giving you the opportunity to increase your earnings based on your performance.

Full details of the commission structure will be discussed with successful applicants.
