Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Vehicle Technician and/or MOT Tester and become a vital part of delivering exceptional service. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of light vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our customers’ vehicles running smoothly, providing them with confidence and peace of mind. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment that values quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and safety concerns
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks using a variety of hand tools and power tools efficiently and accurately
Replace or repair faulty parts such as brakes, transmission, and suspension components
Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex vehicle systems and implement effective solutions
Safely use proper techniques and equipment to ensure standards are met
Document all work performed clearly and accurately in service records for transparency and accountability
Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency throughout the repair process

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues across various vehicle systems
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools essential for automotive repairs
Ability to lift heavy components safely, demonstrating physical strength and proper lifting techniques
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Good communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to team members and customers
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
Prior experience or certification in automotive repair is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
