OVERVIEW

Job Title: Working Supervisor

Location: London

Salary & Benefits: £180-£220 a day depending on experience

Reporting to: Project Manager

THE COMPANY

BSPS Ltd are an established main contractor based in Central London specialising in refurbishment, decoration and restoration, fit out and service and maintenance. We do not carry out new build or private residential projects.

The company is family run, profitable, financially strong with no loans or third party investment. It achieved a turnover of £13.5m in its last financial year and growing larger year on year. Contracts are nearly always won through competitive tender. Profitability and cash flow are both good.

THE ROLE

BSPS Ltd are seeking a working foreman/woman to run exciting internal and external refurbishment, fit-out, decoration & restoration, and service & maintenance projects in commercial, education, hotel & leisure, residential (not private), and industrial sectors, ranging in size from £5k to £4m.

The role will encompass but not be limited to the following:

Delivering quality finished projects on time and to budget
Expertly managing our labour force and sub-contractors
Monitoring project programme
Reading and working from plans
Reviewing and ensuring trade contractors have produced Method Statements and Risk Assessments prior to any work starting
Carry site administration
Carry out toolbox talks and site inductions
Maintain site diary, plant register and accident book and signing in sheets
Carrying out daily inspections
Report on sub-contractor progress
Carry out weekly fire safety checks and inspections

JOBHOLDER REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role
Stable, proven track record within Main Contracting/Construction
Exceptional communication skills
Experience in managing individuals, teams of directly employed tradesmen as well as sub-contractors
Excellent technical knowledge and a good eye for detail
CSCS card is essential
SMSTS/SSSTS essential
First aider

The candidate must have recent UK experience.
