Payroll Administrator

Location: Nottingham Support Centre (Hybrid)

Looking to build a career in payroll and HR administration? Join our Payroll team at Vision Express, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring colleagues across the UK and Ireland are paid accurately and on time. This is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist payroll knowledge within a supportive team, gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Gain hands-on experience across the full payroll lifecycle, including starters, leavers, employee changes, benefits administration, sickness absence, holiday pay, maternity pay, and payroll validation processes.

What We're Looking For

Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach
Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
Experience working with databases or administrative systems
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Previous payroll experience is desirable but not essential
Experience within a high-volume administration environment would be advantageous

About the Role

As a Payroll Administrator, you'll support the accurate and timely processing of payroll for colleagues across the business. Responsibilities will include:

Processing starters, leavers, and employee data changes
Validating payroll information and identifying discrepancies
Managing sickness, holiday, maternity and other employee payments
Supporting payroll audits and compliance checks
Responding to colleague and manager queries via phone and email
Processing payroll-related paperwork and correspondence
Assisting with payroll calculations, reporting and administration activities
Supporting wider payroll projects and continuous improvement initiatives
