Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food preparation, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The Chef will play a key role in training, and maintaining a positive, efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and allergen control
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, considering customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen efficiency
Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and professional development
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
Serve dishes to customers when required and assist with special events or banquets

Qualifications

Proven experience in a professional kitchen setting, ideally within hospitality or restaurant environments
Demonstrable supervising experience with team management capabilities
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary arts
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and motivate staff
Experience in menu development and food presentation excellence
Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is highly desirable
