Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
- Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and allergen control
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, considering customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen efficiency
- Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and professional development
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
- Serve dishes to customers when required and assist with special events or banquets
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen setting, ideally within hospitality or restaurant environments
- Demonstrable supervising experience with team management capabilities
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary arts
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and motivate staff
- Experience in menu development and food presentation excellence
- Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is highly desirable
