Instruct Construction Group Ltd specialises in high-quality residential renovations across the East Midlands, including HMO conversions, extensions, structural alterations and full property refurbishments.
We're looking for an experienced Bricklayer Gang to join our growing team. This role is ideal for reliable bricklayers who take pride in producing high-quality work, can work efficiently as a team, and are comfortable working across multiple renovation projects.
Pay
- £200 per person per day (depending on experience, quality of work and reliability)
- Paid monthly
- Self-employed subcontract basis
Day rate is paid for attending the scheduled site hours.
Hours
Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
Occasional Saturdays: 8:00am – 1:00pm (when required)
You must be on site for these hours to receive your full day rate.
What You'll Be Doing
Working as part of a bricklaying gang on residential renovation projects, including:
- New extension brickwork
- Blockwork and internal load-bearing walls
- Garden and boundary walls
- Structural alterations and making good
- Forming openings and installing lintels (where competent)
- Footings, foundation blockwork and oversite preparation
- Matching existing brickwork on renovation projects
- Pointing, repairs and remedial brickwork
- Working alongside joiners, roofers, electricians and plumbers
- Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe
- Producing high-quality finishes suitable for residential properties
Essential Requirements
Please only apply if you meet the following:
- Proven experience as a bricklayer working on residential renovation projects
- Experience working as part of a bricklaying gang
- Own transport and ability to travel between multiple sites
- Own bricklaying tools
- NVQ or City & Guilds in Bricklaying (preferred)
- Excellent workmanship and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and able to start work at 7:00am
- Right to work in the UK (evidence required following initial contact)

- Asbestos Awareness
- Health & Safety training
- First Aid
- Experience working on HMO conversions and domestic extensions
We're looking for bricklayers who take pride in their work, communicate well with other trades, and want consistent work on a variety of renovation projects across Nottingham and Derby.

Pay: From £25.00 per hour
