Receptionist – Shipquay Boutique Hotel

Join Our Award-Winning Team!
Due to continued growth, we are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused receptionists to join the Shipquay Hotel team. As part of our multi-award-winning team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring every guest has a memorable stay.

About the Role:
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment. While previous experience as a hotel receptionist is desirable, it is not essential as full training will be provided.

Positions Available:

Full-Time (Full 36 hour work week)
Flexibility to work weekends is essential, as shifts are rotated fairly among the team.

Your Role as a Receptionist:
As a member of our front office team, you are the face of the Shipquay Hotel—the first and last impression for every guest. Your goal is to ensure each guest receives a warm welcome, a seamless check-in/check-out experience, and outstanding service throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver a professional, friendly, and efficient service at the front desk.
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with diplomacy and professionalism.
Collaborate with management to ensure accurate room allocation.
Update and manage room packages, pricing, and availability across hotel software and selling platforms.
Communicate and coordinate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
Maintain clear and timely reporting to the Front Office Manager.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

A third-level qualification (desirable but not essential).
Strong telephone communication skills.
Excellent diplomacy and the ability to handle complaints or emergencies calmly and effectively.
Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
Experience with hotel management software (preferred but not essential).
