Full job description

We are a family run, 580 sow herd pig unit, who breed and finish pigs in a high welfare, largely straw based, indoor, wet fed unit near Devizes, Wiltshire. We are now looking for a highly motivated and enthusiatic trainee or experienced stockperson to join our team.

You would be responsible for:

Feeding and cleaning out pigs on a daily basis.
Identifying and treating sick animals
Pressure washing
Tractoring out muck and moving animals about the farm

You must have;

a minumum of one years experience gained either working on a farm/with animals or at Agricultural college
a driving licence
a high level of physical fitness
a strong work ethic and excellent reliability
attention to detail, enthusiasm and stamina

The position is 39 hours a week plus overtime and you will be required to work every other weekend. Training is provided and the starting salary is negotiable depending on experience but a hard working and highly motivated individual can quickly progress.

On site accommodation is available in the form of a winter insulated static caravan for the right person.
