Overview
We are seeking a professional Class 1 Driver to operate commercial vehicles during daytime hours. The ideal candidate will possess a strong driving record and experience in delivering goods efficiently and safely. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in commercial driving, particularly those familiar with flatbed operations and delivery services. The position requires a responsible and dependable individual committed to maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Duties

Safely operate Class 1 lorries, including flatbed vehicles, on designated routes during daytime shifts
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys to ensure roadworthiness
Deliver goods promptly to various clients, adhering to scheduled delivery times
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery notes and mileage records
Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety at all times
Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during transit

Qualifications

Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence with a clean driving record
Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with flatbed vehicles and delivery routes
Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for secure cargo handling
Ability to operate flatbed trucks confidently and safely
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and route planning
Excellent communication skills to liaise professionally with clients and team members
Flexibility to work during daytime hours, with a commitment to punctuality and safety standards
