Full job description

Role

As a trainee Production Operative you will be based in our worktop factory, working closely with many forms of engineered stone, sintered stone and natural materials, ensuring our quality and service levels are met on every order. On the job training will be provided. The role is physically demanding at times as stone products vary in weight and size, therefore please ensure you are comfortable with this before applying.

Responsibilities

Operating tools and machinery to fabricate stone based worksurfaces
Working from customer drawings, CAD etc
Accuracy and measuring skills essential
Working to deadlines to meet customer demand
Managing individual workload to ensure deadlines are met
Suitable candidates will be considered for CNC / Saw training

From our humble beginnings in July of 1923, when we started manufacturing tiled fireplaces for local houses, Arnolds has grown over the years into a multifaceted company. As one of the UK’s biggest bathroom product distributors for leading German manufacturers Villeroy & Boch and Keuco, as well as being a nationwide supplier of bespoke stone fireplaces and worktops made in our very own workshop; we are extremely proud of the company we are today. We are also a Gold Standard fabricator for the major material brands.

About you

Experience in the stone worktop / fireplace industry is preferred, but not essential
Practical experience using power tools is preferred
Strong work ethic with a keen eye for detail
Fork lift truck license desirable,- counterbalance
Comfortable with manual handling of products
Good communicator with a confident, clear and friendly manner
Works well as part of a team
Would suit ex joinery / tiling apprentice with practical skills

Job

Full time, Monday – Friday
Mon - Thurs 0600 - 1600, Fri 0600 - 1100
Overtime often available
Immediate start required
Hourly wage paid weekly - to reflect age & experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
