Join the Close Brothers Motor Finance Team where you will support our dealer partners and end customers by manually reviewing and processing motor finance proposals, whilst ensuring the business accepted by Close Brothers Motor Finance (CBMF) is within the business’ credit risk parameters.
Working as part of the Underwriting team our ideal team member will have previous experience in making the right decisions to ensure great outcomes for customers and dealer partners with excellent planning and organisational skills.
Please note, that this position involves a five-day working week, with a requirement to work from our Roman House office in Doncaster three days per week once fully trained.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Processing customer proposals and underwriting them in line with company policies and procedures.

Liaising with motor dealer partners regarding the outcome / decisions of a proposal that has been underwritten.

Negotiating with dealers, the figures and requirements to make the deal acceptable to CBMF and appropriate for the customer.

Completing customer security checks.

Processing the payment of funds to our dealer partners.

Completing general administration tasks related to new business activity.

Proactively record any regulatory incidents (within the CBMF regulatory requirements).
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent IT Skills (MS Word, Excel and Outlook) with the ability to learn new systems.

An ability to work well as part of a team collaboratively

Experience in using decision-making skills.

The ability to use and interpret information and data efficiently.

A good attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.

Experience of using negotiation skills within an operations process.
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

Knowledge of FCA regulations relating to Compliance, Data Protection, Anti Money Laundering, Consumer Credit Directive or Consumer Credit Act.

Previous experience in an underwriting position and having held a mandate.
