Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Supply Cover / Lunch Cover Nursery Assistant to join our childcare team. This role involves providing essential support during lunch times and supply cover periods, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.

Responsibilities

Supervise children during lunch breaks, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Support the delivery of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
Provide cover for staff absences, maintaining consistency in care and supervision
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team members through effective communication
Ensure the nursery environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming in accordance with health and safety regulations
Support children's individual needs, including behaviour management and emotional support
Assist with basic administrative tasks related to nursery operations as required

Requirement

Childcare qualifications, relevant early childhood education training or parenting experience are advantageous
Ability to work flexibly during designated hours, including lunchtimes and supply cover shifts
A caring attitude with patience, organisation skills, and a proactive approach to supporting young children's development
Ability to work well within a team environment while also demonstrating independence when needed
