Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Travel Sales Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting clients in planning and booking their travel arrangements, providing exceptional service, and ensuring a seamless travel experience. Previous travel sales experience is highly desirable but not essential, as they will enable you to deliver expert advice and personalised service to our clients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a vibrant travel environment, helping clients explore the world while developing your career in the tourism industry.

Responsibilities

Engage with clients to understand their travel preferences and requirements.
Provide expert advice on destinations, accommodation options, and travel packages, leveraging hotel experience and hospitality knowledge.
Assist clients in booking flights, hotels, tours, and other travel services through our booking systems.
Upsell additional services such as travel insurance, excursions, and specialised packages to enhance client experiences.
Maintain detailed records of client interactions and bookings to ensure accuracy and follow-up.
Stay informed about current travel trends, destination information, and promotional offers to provide up-to-date advice.
Handle customer enquiries via phone, email, or face-to-face with professionalism and courtesy.
Promote deals on the companies social media accounts.
Collaborate with suppliers and partners to secure the best deals for clients.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations throughout all transactions.
Be a good colleague working as part of a hard-working, friendly team.
Meet and exceed sales targets.
Maintain a clean and tidy workspace and office area.

Qualifications

Previous experience in travel sales and customer service is preferred but not essential; a passion for travel is essential.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Organised with excellent attention to detail when managing bookings and client information.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also demonstrating initiative independently
Customer-focused attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and industry developments. This role offers an engaging environment for those passionate about travel and hospitality, providing opportunities for professional growth within the tourism sector.
