Job Overview

We are looking for an energetic and organised Kitchen Assistant Manager to lead our kitchen. In this role, you will oversee daily food production, ensure smooth kitchen operations, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will bring culinary expertise, management experience, and a passion for hospitality to create an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
Oversee food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and proper storage practices to comply with health regulations.
Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver seamless service and address any operational issues promptly.

At Veeno as a Sous chef:

- You will be assisting in the food preparation process

- Preparation of pizza, pasta and cured meats and cheeses

- Operates within the kitchen following our brand specs, company standards and food safety regulations

- Proud to work in an open kitchen displaying their skills in front of our guests

- Helping with deliveries, restocking, pot washing and cleaning of kitchen areas

- Placing orders, conducting stock takes, training new team members and keeping the kitchen cleanliness to the highest of standards
