Full job description

Job Summary

We're seeking a professional Davinci Resolve Editor with 2+ years experience working in a fast pase podcast environment.

You'll help organise digital assets across across 6 prime social platforms, steamline our file systems, and create thumbnails and taglines for our episodes.

Duties

You’ll do full episode edits and create 5 key shorts per weekly episode for promotion on 6 channels. We use Social Chimp to schedule drops.
Assist with manage social media channels, help streamline YouTube and other platform workflows, and assist with day-today administrative tasks to keep creative projects on track.
Create posters if necessary in Canva for shorts posts
Organise digital files and optimise systems for improved workflow and accessibility
Liaise with other nice team members to facilitate smooth communication and project execution
Be a team player and think like a boss

Experience

Davinci Resolve and shared network files of Davinci cloud
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Data entry experience and proficient attention to detail
Previous experience supporting creative or digital systems is advantageous but not essential
You’re a natural leader and self-starter who takes initiative and works confidently without needing constant direction.
You have spent at least 5 years as a user of various social media platforms daily.

This role requires a motivated individual capable of multitasking efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Candidates should demonstrate excellent organisational abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm, Graduate

Contract length: minimum 6 months

Responsibilities

Edit raw footage using Davinci Resolve to craft polished videos with professional color grading , sound enhancement and seamless transitions.
Create engaging social media posts by combining video clips, images, graphics, and text to maximize audience engagement.
Develop content strategies aligned with brand goals to produce videos optimized for various platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook.
Incorporate motion graphics and visual effects using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Illustrator to enhance video storytelling.
Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm creative concepts and execute projects on tight deadlines.
Maintain an organized library of media assets including photos, videos, and graphic elements for easy access and efficient workflow.
Stay updated on the latest trends in video editing, social media content, and digital marketing to continually refine your craft.

Experience

Proven experience in video editing with a strong portfolio showcasing work created using Davinci Resolve.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications including Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Illustrator, and After Effects.
Hands-on experience with social media content creation, understanding platform-specific requirements and best practices.
Knowledge of photography principles to capture high-quality images for multimedia projects.
Familiarity with Final Cut Pro is a plus but not required; adaptability across editing platforms is valued.
Strong understanding of video editing workflows from concept through final delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a creative team.
