Full job description

Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh by The Unlimited Collection is seeking an engaging Assistant Food and Beverage Manager with a passion for great hospitality. You will report to the Food and Beverage Manager, supporting/working towards providing guests with a memorable experience.

The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for:

Daily Operations: Manage the daily operations of Front of House and Kitchen teams, oversee restaurant dinner service, and provide catering updates in hotel operations meetings.
Business Development: Assist in developing business plans, identify commercial opportunities, and seek innovative ways to enhance guest experience and maximize income.
Event Support: Offer operational support to the Events Team, manage event bookings and resource allocation through planning and rotas.
Team Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and lead Front of House and Back of House staff, ensuring adherence to company standards and motivation for customer-focused service.
Service Standards: Develop and maintain guest service standards, train the team in service delivery, and address non-compliance issues.
Financial Management: Manage supplier relationships, oversee stock control and pricing, support financial performance, and maintain financial and administrative records.

To be successful in the role of Assistant Food and Beverage Manager we require:

Experienced Hospitality Leader: Managerial experience in hospitality and 4-star hotel restaurants, with preferred experience in a Rosette environment.
Customer Centric: Strong customer service skills, confident and courteous manner, with experience handling complaints and requests.
Excellent Communicator and Organizer: Clear and concise communication, outstanding organizational skills, and ability to multitask and troubleshoot.
Team Leader: Proven team leading skills, well-organized, outgoing, and service-minded.
