What we want...
We're looking for positive-minded individuals who can bring joy and some theatre to Ice Cream sales. Oh, and also eat a lot of ice cream in the sun.

YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE Weekends, midweek and or some evenings.

We are looking for long-term full-time team members, but may consider good part-time staff.

Job Overview

Become the face (and wheels!) of Thistle & Churn —a mobile, bike‑powered ice‑cream experience that pops up where the crowds are. You’ll steer one of our fully‑equipped bikes, delight customers with locally‑made scoops of Scottish Handmade Ice-Cream, and use your entrepreneurial flair to maximise daily sales. Expect plenty of sunshine, spontaneous dance‑offs with kids, and the buzz of being on the move.

You’ll smash this role if you…

Thrive on energy and chat—you spark conversations with strangers.
Love the outdoors and can cycle confidently (e‑bikes/trikes—no Tour‑de‑France fitness needed).
Are 18 + with the right to work in the UK and a knack for punctuality.
Bring the vibes - actualy just BE THE VIBE

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Joy: Serve ice‑cream and smiles with equal enthusiasm.

Recommend flavours, manage tasters, create beautiful ice creams.
Handle cashless payments and keep queue times low.

Inventory & Quality Control: Monitor freezer stock and product rotation to guarantee perfect scoops.

Restock without delaying sales .

Brand Representation : Keep the bike spotless, the kit sharp, and engage the public with our story and sustainability mission.

Capture fun content for social when time allows.

Qualifications & Skills

Age 18+ with right to work in the UK.
Multiple languages are a benefit but not essential.
Confident cyclist; e‑trike training provided, but you should feel safe in light traffic.
Outgoing communicator who enjoys striking up conversations with strangers.
“Owner‑mindset”: you think about profit, presentation, and punctuality.
Basic numeracy and comfort using POS apps / card readers.
Weekend and holiday availability (peak ice‑cream moments!).
Bonus points for: prior food‑service, events, street‑food or sales experience; Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain—training).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract
