Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fryer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items to the highest standards, ensuring consistency, quality, and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Fryer will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting the kitchen team in meal preparation and maintaining food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook food items using deep-frying techniques according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all fried foods are cooked to the correct temperature and presentation standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the frying station, including sanitising equipment and work surfaces
Monitor oil levels and quality, reporting any issues to management promptly
Assist with other kitchen duties such as food preparation, plating, and serving as required
Follow all food safety regulations and hygiene standards to ensure customer safety and satisfaction
Manage stock levels of frying supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen supervisor

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is desirable
Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is essential
Experience with meal preparation and working in a busy kitchen environment is advantageous
Familiarity with kitchen equipment, particularly fryers, is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
Applicants should have good organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
